Chickasaw Creek Chert is associated with the Chickasaw Creek Member of the Jacksfork Formation of southeastern Oklahoma and southwestern Arkansas occuring towards the base of the formation.  Formation is present win the Ouachita Mountains of west central Arkansas and southeastern to south central Oklahoma.  Exposures occur around Chickasaw Creek, Prairie Mountain and Jackfork Mountain in Pittsburg and Pushmataha counties Oklahoma and near Redden, Choctaw County, Oklahoma, the east bank of Glover Creek.  Occurs as float cobbles in streams and rivers in the associated area.
