Description of Physical Characteristics:

Color:  Chuska chert ranges from shades of pink to reddish orange, but can occur in banded gray, pink, and blue or banded gray and cream.  Small irregular quartz lined vugs or inclusions are commonly present.

Translucency:  Moderate translucency
