Eureka Quartzite is associated with the Eureka Formation from western Utah, Nevada, and into Inyo County, California.  This formation extends form Pinyon Ridge, Nevada to the north to the south of the Las Vegas quad, throughout the Amargosa Range, Kawich Range, Monitor Range, but absent in the Toquima Range.  It extends east to the Dugway Mountians, Fish Springs Mountains, and throughout the Confusion Mountains, and the Frisco District (also called Stansbury Quartzite), but absent in the Stansbury Mountains.  Named for Eureka, Nevada.
