Fusselman Chert is associated with the Fusselman Dolomite Formation of New Mexico.  Dolomite occurs as beds and chert occurs as abundant nodules and lenses in the dolomite formation in the Sacramento Mountains of New Mexico.  Also occurs in the Franklin and Hueco Mountains of New Mexico and western Texas.
