Glendon Chert is associated with the Glendon Limestone Formation, Vicksburg Group of Georgia, Alabama, and into Florida.  Primarily occurs as nodules along Conecuh River, but exposure occur from east of Clarke County Alabama into southeastern Alabama into Georgia and western Florida.  Most or all the lime has been replaced by silica leaving lumps of chert mingled with residual sands.
