Huronian Jasper is associated with the Lorrain formation of the Colbalt Group of Ontario.  Primary outcroppings are found along the St. Mary's River, St Joseph Island and throughout northern Ontario.  Other outcroppings have been presorted on Duncans Island in Michigan.  Has been found in glaicial tills in as far south as Tennessee.
