Silica Fabrics / Fossils: Macro fossils include brachiopods with a high density of carbonate rhomb.  Micro fossils include acritarchs, chitinozons, graptolites, and scolecodonts.

Patina: The patina is white to buff color.

Manitoulin Chert is associated with Manitouline Dolomite Member of the Bios Blanc Formation of Ontarios.  Dolomite and chert and is found in thin nodule beds with primary sources on Manitoulin Island, Georgian Bay, Ontario.  May be found along the Niagara Escarpment.
