Color:  Mustard Chert ranges from a  tannish yellow and olive color to a bluish black and commonly has strings of bryozoan fossils forming a "string of beads".

Mustard Chert is associated with the Fort Payne Formation of Georgia.  Outcroppings of Mustard Chert is limited within the formation or northwestern Georgia and into Alabama and Tennessee.  Picture shown was found in Burke County, Georgia.
