Pinetop Chert is associated with the Pinetop Formation of Oklahoma.  Primary outcroppings are located in the southeastern Ouachita Mountains.  Was originally called Brushy Creek Chert for exposures along Brushy Creek in Pittsburg County, Oklahoma.
