Ticonderoga Chert is associated with the Ticonderoga Dolomite Formation of the Beekmantown Group, primarily occurring as thin beds, lenses and isolated nodules at the top of the formation.  Named for exposures on Mount Hope at Ticonderoga, New York.  Exposures occur throughout the central Champlain Valley and on Thompson Point in Charlotte.  Prehistoric quarries are reported at Clarendon Springs, Vermont.
