Color:  Trinity Obsidian is black with minor inclusions.  Phenocysts may appear elongated with banding common.

Fine grain

Luster: Ranges from a "greasy" appearance to vitreous

Translucency: Semi-translucent with a gray color with a golden brown tint being produced.
