Sinner points were named by Clarence Webb and Pete Gregory from points found at
the Jim Sinner site in Northern Louisiana. They are believed to be of the same Archaic period (2500 B. C.) as the Evans point. The primary distinguishing characteristic for the Sinner type is the presents of two or more notches or barbs above the shoulders. Another is the expanding base that is rounded. Most sinners from Louisiana are made from tan colored chert peddles common in the area |
