Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a large to very large (6 to 14 inches) ovoid knife with a flattened cross section.   The blade is excurvate with the tip curving in, becoming widest at the top one third to one half the blade, and curving back in towards the base.  The blade may become more parallel towards the bottom quarter of the blade giving the knife a stemmed appearance.  The base varies from straight to slightly concave with rounded basal corners.  Most examples have a high quality of workmanship and a random flaking pattern.
