Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a thick medium to large triangular stemmed point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade is primarily excurvate.  The shoulders are at an upward slope.  The stem is short and broad and primarily straight, but may vary to slightly expanding or slightly contracting.  The base is most notably slightly concave, but may vary to straight or slightly convex.  This point has a random flaking pattern.

The full distribution of this point is unknown.  It is primarily found in the Ichuaway-Notchaway Creek region of southwestern Georgia and the mid Flint River Valley.

Dates based on comments by Kevin Dowdy.  No radiocarbon dates have been provided for this type.  This point has morphological correlates with the Wacissa point which is an older point (Early to Middle Archaic) which may make this point older than currently reported.
