Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a large auriculate lanceolate with an elliptical cross section.  The blade is recurvate with the tip curving in, becoming parallel towards the middle, curving back in, forming a constricted waist, and flaring back out at the base.  The base is concave with basal grinding.  This point has a parallel flaking pattern.

Size Measurements:  Total Length - 60 to 120 mm,  Blade Width - 20 to 35 mm (***based on small sample size***)

This point is primarily found in the Illinois Valley and into the mid Mississippi River basin.  This point may be found into Iowa, Kansas, and Oklahoma.
