Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a thin medium triangular point with a plano-convex cross section.  The blade is excurvate, curving in at the tip, becoming widest at the mid point to the bottom third of the point, and curving back in towards the base.  The base is concave with rounded basal corners.  This point is commonly made from a flake with few broad percussion flaking scars seen across the face and finer pressure flaking used on all edges forming a random flaking pattern.

Size Measurements:  Total Length - 31 to 52 mm,  Blade Width - 18 to 30 mm,  Thickness - 4 to 9 mm (average 6 mm)

Additional Comments:

These points are similar to the older Annie Lake points.  The primary difference is the basal concavity depth, the base is deeply concave of the Annie Lake points and they have sharper basal corners while the Whitehorse points are not as deeply concave and has rounder basal corners (Greer, 1993).
