Crescent Lake Chert is associated with the Crescent Lake Formation of the Roberts Arm Group of Newfoundland and Labrador with exposures occurring on the south shore of Crescent Lake southwest of Roberts Arm on Notre Dame Bay, Newfoundland.  Exposures also occur in Tommy's Arm west of Badger Bay and west of Badger Lakes.
