Ervine Creek Chert is associated with the Ervine Creek Limestone Member of the Deer Creek Limestone Formation of northeastern Kansas, southeastern Nebraska, southwestern Iowa, and northwestern Missouri.  Primary outcroppings occur along Ervine Creek in Union and Cass counties, Nebraska.
