Ettrain Chert is associated with the Ettrain Formation of Alaska and Yukon.  Primarily occurs as beds and lenses with primary exposures occurring between the headwaters of Ettrain and Jungle creeks in the northern Ogilvie Mountains of Alaska and Yukon.  Outcroppings also occur  on the south and western side of Eagle Plain, in the southern Keele Range, and along the Peel River.
