Fantasque Chert is associated with the Fantasque Formation of British Columbia, Northwest Territories, and Yukon.  Exposures occurs as thick beds on the southwest side of Mount Merrill and the north side of Beaver River and along Ursula Creek.  Equivalent to Ranger Canyon Chert of Southern and Central Alberta Foothills and Rockies
