Foraker Chert is associated with the Foraker Limestone Formation of central to north central Oklahoma and southern Kansas.  Primary outcroppings occurs in Elker Canyon and near Foraker, Osage County, Oklahoma.  The Thrall Limestone Member of the Foraker Limestone Formation has layers of chert outcropping near the Thrall Post Office, Greenwood County, Kansas.
