Little Oak Chert is associated with the Little Oak Limestone Formation of north central Alabama.  Primarily occurs as abundant nodules on the west slope of Little Oak Ridge and around Leeds, Jefferson County, Alabama.  Similar to Newala Chert and Lenoir Chert.
