Color:  Louisville Chert varies in color from a very light gray to a medium light gray.  It is mottled and opaque and may have brownish specks.

Louisville Chert is associated with Louisville Limestone Formation.  Primary outcroppings are located in Clark County, Indiana.  May be found into Kentucky.
