Manning Fussed Glass is associated with the Manning Formation and was formed when volcanic ash, partially melted overlying silica rich tuff and tuffaceous siltstone deposits fused with lignite beds of the lower Manning Formation.  Occurs in a narrow west - east band north of Huntsville, Texas extending to Fayette County in the southwest to Trinity County in the northeast.
