Neva Chert is associated with the Neva Limestone Member of the Grenola Formation of eastern Kansas, northeastern Nebraska, and northern Oklahoma.  Primary outcroppings occur near Neva Station at the confluence of Diamond Creek and Cottonwood River Valley, Chase County, Kansas.  Also reported at Wabaunsee and Pawnee counties, Kansas.
