Color:  Prairie du Chein Chert is a mottled and ranges in color from an off white to a light cream.

Texture: 
Fine Grain

Luster: Dull to waxy

Heat Treatment:  Heat treating this material gives a glossy texture with a reddish, pinkish, or grayish pink tint.
