Spring Hill Chert is associated with the Spring Hill Limestone Member of the Plattsburg Limestone Formation, Lansing Group.  Primary outcroppings occur in Leavenworth County, Kansas and across the river in Platte County, Missouri, and in Wyandotte and Johnson counties, Kansas.
