Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:

This is a medium triangular point with an elliptical cross section.  The blade is primarily straight, but may be excurvate.  The blade above the shoulders edge may be slightly flared while the remaining blade is straight.  The shoulders have a strong barb.  The stem is most commonly straight, but may be slightly expanding.  The stem is long in relationship to the blade and commonly beveled.  The base is primarily straight, but may be slightly convex.  The base is commonly thinned one half to one third the length of the stem.  Light grinding may be seen on the bottom one third of the stem, but never on the base of the point.  This point has a random flaking pattern and commonly has a high quality of workmanship.

Total Length - 42 to 93 mm (average 60 mm),  Stem Length - 12 to 19 mm (average 17 mm),  Width - 25 to 51 mm (average 33 mm),  Stem Width - 14 to 21 mm (average 17 mm),  Thickness - 5 to 9 mm.
